DeltaVega is a proprietary trading firm building high-throughput, deterministic execution systems for global markets. We are seeking a Lead C++ Engineer to drive our core systems infrastructure. In this role, you will partner directly with our strategy team to transform complex quantitative algorithms into ultra-fast, robust production engines.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Execution Architecture: Design, build, and maintain low-latency C++ (C++17/C++20) execution engines and data processing pipelines.
• Algorithm Productionization: Partner with quantitative strategy researchers to turn complex models into high-performance, real-time production code.
• Performance Tuning: Profile systems down to the hardware level to eliminate latency jitter and maximize throughput across bare-metal Linux environments.
• Systems Reliability: Build automated testing frameworks, deployment tooling, and real-time operational monitoring for mission-critical trading infrastructure.

Core Qualifications

• Advanced C++ Mastery: 4+ years of production experience in modern C++ (C++17/C++20), with strong expertise in memory management, cache locality, and lock-free concurrency.
• Systems Expertise: Deep understanding of Linux internals, CPU architecture, multithreading, and low-level socket programming.
• Engineering Standards: Solid foundation in software design, latency profiling, writing clean, testable code, and modern build/CI tools.

Nice to Have (Pluses)

• FinTech & AlgoTrading Experience: Background in quantitative finance, market making, or algorithmic trading—including familiarity with market data feeds, order execution protocols, or order book construction.
• Hardware & Network Optimization: Hands-on experience with kernel-bypass networking, low-latency network interface tuning, or bare-metal server configuration.
• Numerical & Vectorized Computing: Experience using SIMD optimization or high-performance math libraries.
