Communications Associate- Entry level Position

Entry level position.

The Communications Associate helps deliver the communications strategy, materials and initiatives which amplify our research and promote our policy work to key audiences.

Reports to Director of Global Strategy and Communications.

**The key responsibilities and duties of the role are listed below. However, this is not an exhaustive list. Periodically, other tasks will be assigned which are outside the scope of these core areas of work.

Responsibilities and duties include:

• Edit research reports to ensure academic and organizational standards and alignment with organizational goals.
• Proofread research reports to ensure standards of language.
• Contribute to executive summaries and introductions of research reports as needed.
• Produce written materials, including but not limited to newsletters and further strategic content.
• Produce website copy and execute routine website updates and additions, including uploading reports, articles and associated material.
• Contribute towards the development and execution of communications plans to promote the organization’s reports, research, and relevant initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent command of English at a native level
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading capabilities.
• Proven ability to edit and proofread research reports to a high professional standard.
• Ability to translate research findings into clear, accessible messaging for diverse audiences.
• Strong skills in preparing presentations, reports and other key documents.
• Experience working with website content management systems and carrying out routine updates.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with AI-based tools that support content creation, editing or workflow optimization.
• Academic background in Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Marketing or a related field.
• Experience within NGOs or in fields such as policy, education, research or human rights.
• Experience collaborating with external designers, web developers or other service providers.
• Working knowledge of design tools such as Canva; proficiency in Adobe Suite is an advantage.
• Familiarity with analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics or social media insights dashboards.
