About the role:
The Senior Scientist, Antibody Engineering & Discovery, will report to the Head of Antibody Drug Discovery within the Research group.
The candidate will participate in antibody discovery, characterization, design, and engineering activities through extensive hands-on laboratory work.
The successful candidate will contribute to the generation, engineering, production, and characterization of therapeutic antibodies, including bispecific and multispecific molecules.
The role requires strong laboratory skills, scientific rigor, and the ability to independently execute experiments while effectively collaborating with team members.
Responsibilities
- Design and generate antibody expression constructs, including antibody engineering activities.
- Participate in the production and characterization of recombinant antibodies and proteins.
- Perform laboratory-based antibody development activities, including study design, data analysis, and documentation.
- Support antibody screening, lead selection, and optimization in therapeutic antibody discovery campaigns.
- Collaborate with scientists from multiple disciplines across teams to support project progression.
- Present scientific results at team, project, and external scientific meetings, including conferences.
- Contribute to the implementation of new technologies and workflows.
Requirements- must
- PhD in Life Sciences with 2-4 years of biotechnology industry experience, or MSc with 4-6+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Industry experience in antibody engineering and bispecific/multispecific antibody development.
- Protein engineering experience.
- Experience with biochemical methods, including Western blot and ELISA.
- Experience with cell-based assays using mammalian cell culture and expression systems.
- Experience in flow cytometry, including staining and data analysis.
- Experience with recombinant protein and antibody expression systems.
- Familiarity with antibody characterization methodologies such as BLI, Octet, SPR, and HPLC.

- Experience with AI-based applications for antibody optimization and engineering.
