Mechanical Design Engineer

Located in the Sharon region, operating on a hybrid work model (1 day WFH per week / flexible). Security clearance capability required.

Role Description-

• Joining as a Mechanical Engineering Team Lead, directly managing a multidisciplinary team of 7–8 Mechanical Engineers (40%–50% Hands-on design).
• Leading end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for complex electro-optical payloads and defense systems, from early concept/requirements to PDR, CDR, and mass production.
• Providing hands-on engineering execution, technical mentorship, design reviews, and structural oversight.
• Architecting complex gimbal assemblies, high-precision motion mechanisms, motor integration, encoders, precision bearings, and electronic packaging (Enclosures).
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Optical, Systems, HW/Electronics, Thermal, and Production teams to meet strict military environment standards.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized academic institution – Mandatory (M.Sc. – Advantage)
• 2+ years of direct managerial experience leading Mechanical Engineering teams – Mandatory
• 7+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience in multidisciplinary systems, with focus on Defense Systems / Electro-Optical Payloads (EO/IR) – Mandatory
• Proven expertise in Gimbal design and precision drive mechanisms (integration of motors, encoders, precision bearings, transmission systems) – Mandatory
• Strong, practical experience in Electronic Packaging (Electronics Enclosures/Housing Design) – Mandatory
• High proficiency in SolidWorks CAD, alongside PDM and ERP systems (e.g., Priority) – Mandatory
• Familiarity with Military Standards (MIL-STD for environmental, vibration, and thermal conditions) – Advantage
• Experience with Structural, Thermal, and Dynamic Finite Element Analysis (FEA) – Significant Advantage
