Field Applications Engineer – Semiconductor | Israel

Are you an experienced Field Applications Engineer, Applications Engineer or Electronics Engineer looking to work with leading semiconductor technologies in a highly autonomous, customer-facing role?

Redline have been retained by a global leader in electronics distribution to recruit a Field Applications Engineer for their semiconductor business in Israel, supporting innovative engineering companies across the region.

The Opportunity

You'll work closely with customer engineering teams, account managers and semiconductor suppliers, providing technical support throughout the design cycle and helping drive new design wins and business growth.

The role covers a broad range of semiconductor technologies, with particular relevance to digital MCUs, MPUs and embedded solutions, alongside emerging areas such as Edge AI, HMI and cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive design-win and demand-creation activity for assigned semiconductor technologies.
• Provide technical support from initial concept through to production.
• Develop tailored semiconductor solutions based on customer requirements.
• Build strong relationships with customer engineers, decision makers and suppliers.
• Manage design-win projects and support successful transition into production.
• Deliver technical presentations, training and product demonstrations.
• Identify new opportunities and stay up to date with emerging semiconductor technologies.
• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to grow design-in revenue.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience in FAE, Applications Engineering, R&D or technical support within electronics.
• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor products and applications.
• Experience with digital MCUs and/or MPUs would be highly advantageous.
• Strong customer-facing, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial awareness and an ability to identify new design opportunities.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously.
• Fluent technical English.
