R&D Team Leader (Haifa District)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Development Team Leader to lead the team responsible for the company's core platforms, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems. This role combines leadership, technical, and business responsibilities, including managing developers and QA engineers, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving modern AI-powered development practices.

The ideal candidate has significant experience leading technology teams within large-scale organizations, a proven ability to develop people and processes, and a broad systems-thinking mindset. The office is in Nesher, Haifa district.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & People Management

• Lead and manage a team of approximately 8 employees and QA engineers.
• Define individual and team objectives and track performance against goals.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members both professionally and personally.
• Build career growth plans and help engineers progress from junior to senior levels.
• Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, accountability, and collaboration.

Technical Leadership

• Lead the development and operation of cloud and on-premises platforms and infrastructure.
• Own architecture, scalability, performance, security, and reliability considerations.
• Promote modern engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Drive CI/CD, automation, and DevOps initiatives.
• Integrate advanced AI tools and practices into development and testing workflows.

External Integrations & Partnerships

• Lead integrations with third-party systems, including:
• Booking.com
• Hotel websites
• Travel agents and distribution partners
• CRM platforms
• ERP systems
• Additional external systems and services

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with:
• Product Management
• Customer Support
• Professional Services
• Project Management
• Customer Success
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Prioritize delivery based on business needs and strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing software development teams.
• Previous experience leading teams within medium-to-large organizations.
• Proven experience managing teams of at least 6 employees.
• Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using .NET.
• Experience working with React.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience working in Windows Server and on-premises environments.
• Experience leading CI/CD and DevOps initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of GitHub and Azure DevOps.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Hands-on experience with Jira.
• Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong people management, coaching, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Hospitality or Travel Tech industry.
• Experience integrating with Booking platforms and Channel Managers.
• Familiarity with enterprise CRM and ERP systems.
• Experience working with Claude Code.
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
• Experience implementing AI-driven software development practices.
• Experience building teams and leading technology transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Cloud-Native architectures and modern distributed systems.
• Proven success in mentoring and growing engineers from Junior to Senior and Tech Lead positions.
