AI Team Lead

An innovative Construction Tech & AI startup that was acquired by a leading, publicly traded global corporation. The company combines the fast-paced, high-impact culture of a startup with the stability, resources, and scale of a global enterprise.

The company develops an advanced AI platform for automated pre-construction design review, document analysis, and risk assessment. Its deep-learning engine processes millions of engineering blueprints and construction documents to construct a specialized domain Knowledge Graph.

Employing hundreds of professionals globally, the company maintains its primary AI and engineering site in Israel with around 20 core team members.

Located in central Tel Aviv (walking distance from the train station), operating on a flexible hybrid work model.

Role Description-

• Joining as AI & Computer Vision Team Lead, managing a multidisciplinary team of 7 engineers and researchers (ML Engineers, Computer Vision Researchers, and Data Operations specialists).
• Maintaining a hands-on leadership approach, managing end-to-end technical execution, model evaluation, and deployment of CV and ML architectures into production environments.
• Leading the domain roadmap across Document AI, OCR, multi-page construction drawing analysis, and multimodal AI.
• Driving data collection, curation, annotation pipelines, and Agentic AI workflows at high scale.
• Integrating cutting-edge AI methodologies—including Foundation Models, LLMs, Multimodal AI, Transformers, Few-shot learning, and Active learning—into robust, enterprise-grade production systems.

Requirements-

• 2+ years of direct managerial experience leading AI / Machine Learning / Data Science teams – Mandatory
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning and AI engineering – Mandatory
• Proven expertise in Computer Vision (CV) research and production implementation – Mandatory
• Strong hands-on background with ML/DL frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and production ML pipelines – Mandatory
• Experience in Document AI, OCR, Multimodal Models, LLMs, or NLP architectures – Significant Advantage
• Background in managing end-to-end Data Operations, dataset curation, or annotation pipelines – Advantage
