Software Architect

A fast-growing, globally recognized InsurTech & Travel-Tech company developing an innovative digital platform for end-to-end travel assistance, real-time emergency resolution, and automated claims processing through an integrated digital wallet.

Well-funded with significant venture backing and named among top global InsurTech innovators, the company operates internationally with over 150 employees globally and a major R&D site in Israel, maintaining a mature, inclusive company culture with strong work-life balance.

Located in central Tel Aviv (walking distance from the train station), operating on a hybrid work model with 2 days WFH per week.

Role Description-

• Reporting directly to the VP of R&D in a high-impact, cross-organizational leadership role shaping the technical direction for all development groups.
• Owning the company's Backend Architecture: defining engineering standards, making core architectural decisions, and driving code quality, performance, and scalability.
• Balancing high-level system design with hands-on technical execution and mentorship of engineering teams.
• Partnering closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to translate business goals into resilient, high-scale technical architectures.

Requirements-

• 8 years of hands-on Backend software development experience – Mandatory
• 2–3 years of experience in an Architecture or Principal Software Engineer role – Mandatory
• Deep technical expertise in Node.js and the NestJS framework – Mandatory
• Exceptional communication skills—ability to explain complex architectural concepts to engineers and product executives alike – Mandatory
• High ownership mentality with a proven track record of driving complex technical challenges from idea to resolution – Mandatory
• Experience with Microservices, High-Scale Cloud architectures (AWS/GCP), and distributed systems – Advantage
