Software Engineer Team Lead

A top-tier global Medical Technology (MedTech) enterprise developing life-saving medical devices and patient monitoring systems.

The Israeli site functions as a core R&D center of excellence (following the acquisition of an innovative local startup), specializing in multi-disciplinary platforms for real-time clinical monitoring and patient health analytics.

Operating with tens of thousands of professionals worldwide, the Israeli R&D center maintains an agile, collaborative, and family-oriented environment with tens of engineers locally.

Located in Tel Aviv (walking distance from major train stations), operating on a hybrid work model with 2 days WFH per week.

Role Description-

• Joining as an Embedded Software Team Lead, reporting directly to the R&D Director and managing 3 developers (Israel & US) with plans for team expansion.
• Balancing direct line/technical management with 20%–40% hands-on software engineering.
• Leading the software design and development of a next-generation clinical monitoring platform from concept to production.
• Hands-on development in C++ on Embedded Linux, managing hardware-software interfaces, microcontrollers, low-level drivers, and high-level application logic.
• Representing the team in global forums and collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams across the US, India, and Israel.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline – Mandatory
• 2 years of experience as a Software Team Lead or Technical Lead (Tech Lead) – Mandatory
• 5 years of hands-on software development experience in C++ – Mandatory
• Deep, practical experience developing software on Embedded Linux environments – Mandatory
• Proven hands-on experience with microcontrollers, low-level HW/SW interfaces, and multi-disciplinary systems – Mandatory
• High degree of independence, mature leadership, and strong English communication skills for working with global teams – Mandatory
• Experience in Medical Devices (ISO 13485 / IEC 62304) or other regulated industries – Advantage
