Position Overview
We are seeking highly motivated Research Scientists / AI Research Engineers to join GE Vernova’s AI research team in Herzliya.
This role is offered through a third-party employment arrangement. As part of a globally distributed research organization, you will contribute to the development of state-of-the-art AI solutions for robotics, industrial inspection, and intelligent automation. The role focuses on advancing computer vision and multimodal AI technologies, leveraging deep learning, vision-language models (VLMs), large language models (LLMs), and foundation models to solve challenging real-world industrial problems.
You will work with other researchers and engineers across multiple international locations to develop innovative AI technologies and transition them into impactful industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct applied research and advanced development in computer vision and multimodal AI
- Design, develop, and evaluate state-of-the-art deep learning models for industrial inspection and robotics applications
- Develop solutions that combine visual, language, and other sensor modalities
- Explore and apply modern AI approaches including vision-language models, large language models, and foundation models
- Lead experimental design, model development, benchmarking, and performance analysis
- Collaborate with researchers, software engineers, and domain experts across global teams
- Contribute to technology roadmaps, intellectual property generation, and research publications.
- Support the deployment and integration of AI technologies into real-world industrial systems
- Stay current with emerging advances in AI, computer vision, and multimodal machine learning
Required Qualifications
PhD. / MSc. degree in:
Computer Science
Electrical Engineering
Applied Mathematics
Data Science
or a related field
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
Computer Vision
Deep Learning
Machine Learning
- Extensive experience developing AI solutions using modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch
- Strong Python programming skills
- Proven ability to design, train, evaluate, and optimize deep learning models
- Strong software engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability and willingness to work in a global, cross-site collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. Post Doc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience with:
Multimodal AI
Vision-Language Models (VLMs)
Large Language Models (LLMs)
Foundation Models
Robotics or Autonomous Systems
- Experience applying AI to industrial inspection, manufacturing, or automation domains
- Publications in leading AI, machine learning, computer vision, or robotics conferences and journals
- Experience deploying AI solutions in production or real-world operational environments
