About the Role

We're looking for a Principal Engineer to join our Center of Excellence (COE) and lead innovation across developer platforms, AI enablement, and Developer Experience.

In this role, you'll drive strategic engineering initiatives, evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, design scalable architectures, define engineering standards, and build enterprise platforms that empower hundreds of developers across the organization.

You'll combine hands-on development with technical leadership, leading POCs, improving the SDLC, advancing AI-powered developer workflows, and driving cross-functional initiatives across Cloud, DevOps, Platform Engineering, and AI.

You'll collaborate closely with engineering teams, architects, infrastructure, and security, helping shape the future of software development across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Backend development with Java & Spring Boot - Mandatory
• Strong knowledge of Node.js and/or TypeScript
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, REST APIs, and distributed systems
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and OpenShift
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with Platform Engineering and Developer Experience
• Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Kiro, or similar
• Experience with Agentic AI - Mandatory
• Experience with Backstage or other Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) - Advantage
• Strong software architecture, solution design, and technical leadership skills
