Our products include personalized comic books, novels, satirical books, bookmarks, and more. 

We are looking for an AI Engineer to build and evaluate AI workflows for story-based visual content (e.g. comic books, children's books). Each book is created by a long chain of AI calls, combining text and image generation using the customer's input. The challenge is making the workflows produce great results across many different inputs, while using inherently unreliable AI models.

What you'll do:

• Given a product idea, build production-ready, cost-effective workflows that generate all the assets for the product based on the customer's input.
• Build the evaluation layer for every workflow you own: test sets from real failures, automated QA pipelines, and LLM-as-judge scoring calibrated to human judgment.
• Run the test-and-adjust loop: define what "good" means as measurable criteria, find failure modes, fix the responsible step, and verify nothing else regressed.
• Work directly with our product and engineering team to implement product specifications, and direct the development of the internal tools required for your job.

Who you are:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience building and evaluating generative AI workflows.
• You understand that in addition to writing great prompts and designing workflows, the real differentiator of a great AI engineer is the ability to curate test sets and define exact benchmarks for rigorous testing and evaluation.
• Experience with evaluation and observability tools for production AI workflows (Langfuse, LangSmith, Braintrust, Promptfoo, DeepEval, or similar), as well as with modern image generation models (Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image, FLUX.2, etc.).
• Comfortable developing your own internal tooling for specific ad-hoc needs.
• Great taste and intuition when it comes to product and design.
• Bonus 1: A scientific degree (Computer Science, Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, etc.).
• Bonus 2: Served in an elite unit in the army.
