Network Specialist

A leading and well-established retail group is looking for a Network Specialist to join its Information Systems department.

The company operates in a large-scale enterprise environment, supporting critical business operations across multiple sites, systems, and technology infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and WiFi communication networks in an enterprise environment.
• Work with communication providers and manage connectivity lines, including METRO and IPVPN.
• Define, implement, and support communication solutions as part of new infrastructure and technology projects.
• Handle complex network issues, including diagnosis of end-user connectivity problems.
• Upgrade operating systems and maintain network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and Ruckus.
• Work with network traffic analysis systems and support monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting processes.
• Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, security, and external vendor teams to ensure stable and secure network operations.

Required Qualifications

• CCNA and/or CCNP certification- must.
• 2-4 years of experience in networking / communication infrastructure- must.
• Understanding of passive infrastructure, including copper and fiber optics- must.
• Strong understanding of the OSI 7-layer model- must.
• Familiarity with VPN technologies and information security concepts, including Firewalls, IPS, and IDS- must.
• Knowledge of network protocols such as Ethernet, CDP, LLDP, HSRP, VRRP, and DHCP.
• Knowledge of switching technologies such as Spanning Tree, VTP, VLANs, and LACP.
• Experience with routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
