What You'll Own

Architect and Run Our AI Pre-Vetting Engine

• Architect and run our AI pre-vetting engine, including the prompts, scoring logic, and pipelines that evaluate candidates at scale.
• Design production-grade prompts with structured outputs that are accurate, consistent, and cost-efficient.

Build the Evaluation Layer

• Build evaluation frameworks, including test sets, QA loops, and performance metrics that prove the AI's judgments hold up.
• Continuously improve the reliability and quality of AI decision-making.

Own the Architecture

• Make key architectural decisions across models, APIs, and build-vs-buy strategies.
• Design scalable solutions across text, audio, and video data.

Shape the Future of AI at RealHires

• Work directly with the Founder and our developer in a small, fast-moving team.
• Help determine what we automate next and what should remain human-driven.

What You're Walking Into

RealHires is a bootstrapped company with real revenue and real candidates already flowing through the platform. Our AI screening system exists and works—your job is to make it exceptional, reliable, and ready to support 10x the volume.

You'll report directly to the Founder, a fast-moving, idea-driven leader. Success in this role means turning great ideas into scalable systems and confidently recommending better solutions when needed.

What You'll Bring

• Experience shipping LLM systems used in production by real users—not demos or notebooks.
• Deep expertise in prompt engineering, including structured outputs, failure handling, and model selection.
• Experience building AI evaluation frameworks and proving model performance through testing and metrics.
• Strong understanding of architecture, APIs, data flow, latency, and cost optimization.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to independently take broad goals and turn them into production-ready systems.

Bonus Points

• Experience with speech-to-text or video analysis pipelines.
• Background in recruiting, HR technology, or marketplace platforms.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers.

Logistics

• Full-time, fully remote, work from anywhere.
• Minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern Time.
