Java Software Engineer – Cloud & On-Premise Solutions

Position Overview:

As a Software Engineer, you will design and deliver solutions for customer projects and internal Data Team operations. The role combines Java backend development with end-to-end delivery in customer environments: including integration, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting across software, infrastructure, databases, and networking.

Responsibilities:

• Develop services for collecting, processing, and analyzing large-scale network data. 
• Develop and maintain robust Java services in containerized environments.
• Own solutions from design and implementation through deployment and production support.  
• Work with databases like MongoDB/MySQL/PostgreSQL to support data-intensive operations.
• Install, integrate, troubleshoot, and improve solutions in customer on-premise environments. 

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on engineering experience delivering production software solutions, including at least 2 years of backend development; Java experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to independently understand requirements, write and evaluate production code, integrate existing components, deploy the solution, and troubleshoot it in production.
• Practical experience integrating multiple components and infrastructure into production solutions.
• Eligibility to obtain a high-level government security clearance.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with cloud technologies (Event Hub, Storage, Redis) - Azure Preferred.
• Experience with database systems, including MongoDB/SQL/PostgreSQL.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams. 
• Experience with Linux, Kubernetes , CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting. 
• Proficiency in full-stack development.
• Background in Networking, Cybersecurity or Network Security is highly desirable.
