About the role:

We are looking for a Digital Platforms Team Lead to drive the development and evolution of our customer-facing digital platforms, with a primary focus on our mobile application and shared digital capabilities.

This role combines technical leadership, product partnership, and team management, with a strong emphasis on ownership, scalability, and customer experience.

You will lead a team responsible for both core platform capabilities (e.g., authentication, communication, infrastructure) and product-facing features developed by multiple business domains (Card, Loans, Payments).

What will you do:

• Technical & Platform Leadership
• Own the architecture and evolution of the digital platforms (mobile/web), ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
• Define and enforce best practices, standards, and development processes across the team
• Lead design and implementation of core platform capabilities (e.g., login, biometrics, communication layers, observability)
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure code
• Product & Business Partnership
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to deliver high-impact customer-facing features
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform investments
• Team Leadership & Execution
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers (mobile/web)
• Drive execution excellence, accountability, and end-to-end ownership
• Ensure clear planning, prioritization, and timely delivery
• Foster a strong engineering culture focused on collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement
• Cross-Team Collaboration
• Work closely with backend, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions
• Align with product domain teams (Card, Loans, Payments) on priorities and execution
• Act as a key stakeholder in cross-organizational initiatives
• Operational Excellence
• Own production stability, monitoring, and incident management for digital platforms
• Improve system reliability and reduce downtime
• Establish processes for observability, alerting, and continuous improvement
  
  

Requirements:

• 2+ years of leadership experience, guiding engineering teams and making architectural decisions
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on scalable architecture and system design
• Proven experience building and scaling customer-facing digital platforms
• Experience with Frontend technologies
• Strong understanding of mobile or frontend architecture (iOS, Android, or cross-platform)
• Leading a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency in modern system architecture with large-scale and high performance.
• Impact driven - use data to make sure every task moves the needle and utilize your resources to maximize the team's impact.
• Team player with strong communication skills and someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative, solution-oriented, and able to maintain a ‘can do’ attitude, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and uncertainty. Adapt quickly to changing business needs.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with software development in Kotlin or Java
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Solid understanding of AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Proficient in both relational (e.g., MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Familiarity with message queue technologies such as Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Experience with AI development tools like Cursor and Claude Code
