Forward Deployed Engineer

Deloitte Digital is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to partner directly with Deloitte clients in designing, building, and deploying production-grade AI solutions. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, AI, and client engagement—translating business challenges into scalable technical solutions while collaborating with local and global teams.

This role combines hands-on development with customer-facing consulting and solution delivery responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with clients and Deloitte's alliances to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable AI-powered solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade LLM-powered solutions, RAG architectures, agentic solutions, and enterprise AI integrations - using modern backend and cloud native technologies.
• Develop and maintain APIs, services, and integrations that connect AI capabilities with client systems and business processes.
• Deploy and operate solutions using modern cloud-native technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and security for enterprise production environments.
• Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, product teams, architects, and global engineering teams throughout the solution lifecycle
• Lead technical discovery sessions, prototype development, and solution demonstrations with clients.
• Drive adoption of AI engineering best practices and contribute to reusable frameworks, accelerators, and solution patterns.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, backend development, solutions architecture, or technical architecture roles.
• Strong Python skills and experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying scalable applications, and integrations.
• Proven experience with API development and system integration, proficiency in data serialization formats, technologies and protocols like HTTP/HTTPS, webhooks, and gRPC.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies, such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work directly with clients to define and deliver technical solutions.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing, cross-functional, and global environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade LLM based solutions from discovery through production deployment.
• Experience leading customer engagements, technical workshops, or solution architecture discussions.
• Familiarity with Claude Agent SDK,Google ADK, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangChain, or other agent frameworks
• Experience with AI deployment based on platforms like Agentforce, Wonderful, Palantir or others.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on implementation and delivery.
