Project Planning Engineer- Ashtrom Renewable Energy

Ashtrom Renewable Energy, an international renewable energy developer, is looking for a Project Planning Engineer to join our growing Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering activities throughout the entire project lifecycle from development and feasibility through construction and operation.
• Manage engineering feasibility studies and ensure engineering deliverables are aligned with overall project schedules.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and drive planning processes across all project phases.
• Manage external engineering consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Work on project-financed renewable energy projects, including coordination with lenders' technical advisors.
• Identify and assess technical risks and support commercial decision-making, particularly during early-stage due diligence processes.
• Perform and review energy production simulations and technical analysis of PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Lead the design of High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) systems, including participation in technical discussions with transmission system operators and utility companies in Israel and abroad.
• Lead ongoing coordination with planning authorities, regulatory bodies, government agencies, and other external stakeholders to support project development and permitting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Project Engineer.
• Experience in the design and implementation of project-financed renewable energy generation and energy storage facilities.
• Experience with HV/EHV systems – an advantage.
• Proven experience managing complex engineering and planning processes.
• Fluent English (spoken, written, and reading).
• Hands-on experience with CAD software.
• Proficiency in PVsyst.

Location

• Bnei Brak, near Ayalon Mall
• This is primarily an office-based position, with occasional field work in Israel and internationally.
