Algorithm Engineer

The company designs programmable, ultra-fast Coherent DSP Silicon (manufactured in advanced 5nm nodes) to power high-speed, power-efficient data transfers across Data Centers, AI clusters, servers, and GPUs.

Well-funded by premier venture capital firms, the company maintains high financial stability and operates globally with around 110 employees, with its core R&D hub located in Israel.

Located in central Israel (walking distance from major train stations), operating on a hybrid work model with 2 days WFH per week.

Role Description-

• Joining the System & Algorithmics team to research, design, simulate, and implement Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms for coherent optical communication systems across the full lifecycle from initial Research to Production.
• Developing advanced algorithms for Clock Recovery, Equalization, Phase Recovery, tracking, and signal demodulation.
• Building behavioral models of optical communication channels, electro-optical transmitters/receivers, and high-speed ADC/DAC components.
• Translating high-level algorithm models from MATLAB/C into optimized Fixed-Point designs ready for RTL / HW implementation.
• Collaborating closely with VLSI, Hardware, Analog, Verification, and Firmware teams during lab bring-up, silicon debugging, and system performance tuning.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related scientific discipline – Mandatory
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Algorithm Development – Mandatory
• Recent, proven experience in Signal Processing (DSP) algorithm development – Mandatory
• Significant expertise in at least one: Clock Recovery, Equalization, Phase Recovery, or Tracking – Mandatory
• Experience with Single-Carrier Modulation and Demodulation – Mandatory
• Hands-on experience with Fixed-Point Design – Mandatory
• Strong proficiency in MATLAB and/or C programming – Mandatory
