AWS Cloud Infrastructure Manager

We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Infrastructure Manager to lead the cloud and infrastructure operations of an innovative medical organization.

This is a hands-on technology leadership role combining team management, cloud operations, infrastructure strategy and end-to-end project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate the organization’s AWS environment
• Lead infrastructure and cloud projects from planning through implementation
• Manage and professionally lead the IT team
• Work closely with an external integration partner
• Translate business and research needs into scalable technology solutions
• Collaborate with the organizational architect on solution design
• Work with the CISO and DPO on security, privacy, compliance and regulatory requirements
• Manage technology vendors and partners
• Lead automation, standardization and operational-efficiency initiatives
• Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage and costs

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience managing and operating AWS environments in a small or mid-sized organization
• At least 3 years of experience managing employees or an infrastructure team
• Proven experience leading technology projects end to end
• Strong experience working with management, stakeholders, vendors and internal customers
• Good knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure decision-making
• Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking and communications
• Familiarity with DevOps, automation and modern delivery processes

Advantages

• Relevant AWS certifications, particularly AWS Solutions Architect
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or other Infrastructure as Code tools
• Experience with CI/CD and automation
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and managed AWS services
• FinOps and cloud cost-optimization experience
• Experience in healthcare, research, HealthTech or Biotech environments
• Familiarity with privacy, security and regulatory requirements in medical or research environments
