Senior Buyer – Electronics, Mechanical & Integrated Systems

We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer specializing in the procurement of electronics, mechanical components, and multidisciplinary integrated systems for the high-tech and defense industries.

The role includes end-to-end responsibility for project-based and category-based procurement—from product development and system-design stages through NPI and serial production. It involves close collaboration with Engineering, Production, Quality, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams, while managing suppliers, subcontractors, commercial negotiations, procurement contracts, costs, and deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier and Subcontractor Management

• Identify and qualify local and international suppliers and subcontractors for electronics, mechanical components, and integrated systems.
• Manage suppliers on an ongoing basis, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules, quality standards, technical requirements, and contractual commitments.
• Conduct periodic supplier and subcontractor evaluations and performance reviews.
• Coordinate between Procurement, Engineering, Logistics, Production, Warehousing, Quality, and Integration teams to ensure the continuous flow of materials required for manufacturing and assembly.
• Monitor, expedite, and control supplier deliveries.

Negotiation, Contracts, and Budget Management

• Lead commercial negotiations with local and international suppliers.
• Manage RFQ processes, competitive bidding, tenders, price comparisons, and supplier selection.
• Manage procurement contracts and commercial agreements.
• Manage procurement budgets across multiple projects.
• Deliver cost-reduction targets and identify opportunities for cost and process optimization.
• Monitor lead times, delivery performance, payment terms, and commercial conditions.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in procurement and purchasing within the high-tech and/or defense industries.
• Proven experience managing local and international suppliers and subcontractors.
• Mandatory hands-on procurement experience in electronics, mechanical components, and multidisciplinary integrated systems.
• Strong experience supporting product development, NPI, Bills of Materials, and serial production processes.
• Proven experience leading commercial negotiations and managing procurement contracts in Israel and abroad.
• Strong knowledge of defense-industry procurement processes, regulations, and controlled components.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, international shipping, freight, and logistics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities in a project-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Priority ERP.
• Relevant academic degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
