Cybersecurity Tier 2/3 Analyst

A cybersecurity company specializing in SOC services is looking to expand its internal security team by hiring an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to join its Tier 2/3 security operations team. The role involves handling advanced security incidents, leading cybersecurity projects, conducting in-depth investigations, and designing and implementing technical security solutions across diverse environments.

Professional Requirements/technical Experience:

• 3–4 years of proven experience in Information Security / Cybersecurity – Required
• Strong understanding of attack frameworks and methodologies, including OWASP and MITRE ATT&CK
• Experience working with cloud environments:
• Microsoft Azure – including Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint – Required
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – Significant advantage, particularly experience with Chronicle
• AWS – Advantage
• Experience with Fortinet Firewalls – Advantage
• Experience with Wiz – Advantage
• Experience creating and implementing security policies, firewall rules, and monitoring rules across enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience investigating advanced security incidents and managing incident response (IR)
• Experience securing internet-facing environments, including endpoint protection, user security, infrastructure, and network resources
• Experience writing database queries – Required (the team works extensively with Microsoft Sentinel and Kusto Query Language (KQL))

Projects & Security Engineering

• Experience initiating and leading security improvement projects
• Experience remediating security gaps identified through risk assessments or security incidents
• Experience developing cybersecurity automations – Significant advantage
• Ability to integrate security platforms and tools – Advantage

• Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, real-time incident response environment
• Proactive mindset, with the ability to identify vulnerabilities, recommend improvements, and drive security initiatives

Mandatory Requirements

• 3–4 years of cybersecurity experience
• Hands-on experience with Incident Response (IR)
• Experience with Malware Analysis
• Strong knowledge of Firewalls and NetworkingExperience with Fortinet is preferred
• Experience with Palo Alto or Check Point is also acceptable
• Experience with Microsoft Azure is mandatory
• Experience with Entra ID, Intune, and EDR solutions is an advantage
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and writing KQL queries is mandatory

Civilian Security Clearance – Level 3 is required

Candidates whose experience is limited to military service, without relevant civilian cybersecurity experience, will not be considered.
