Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer

A leading defense-tech company in the counter-drone and RF cyber domain is looking for a Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer to join its hardware engineering organization.

The company develops advanced non-kinetic counter-drone technology designed to support control, safety, and operational continuity during unauthorized drone incidents in complex and sensitive environments.

This is a hands-on digital hardware design role focused on the detailed implementation and industrialization of next-generation Counter-UAS processing units.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of complex digital hardware board design, from schematic capture, component selection, and PDN design through validation and mass production.
• Lead hands-on implementation of high-speed carrier boards and processing units for advanced Counter-UAS systems.
• Participate in digital hardware architecture definition, including modular computing strategies, baseboard optimization, and multi-sensor integration.
• Lead integration of high-performance Intel processors and COM Express form factors.
• Work with dense high-speed interfaces such as PCIe Gen 4/5, DDR4/DDR5, 10GbE, and USB4.
• Execute pre-layout and post-layout Signal Integrity and Power Integrity simulations.
• Drive DFM, DFA, DFT, boundary-scan testability, verification documentation, and transfer to manufacturing.
• Collaborate closely with layout subcontractors and R&D teams across FPGA, Embedded Software, Cyber, and Mechanical engineering.

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field from a recognized academic institution
• 5-10 years of experience as a Board Design Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with high-speed board design
• Experience designing complex digital hardware boards from schematic stage through production
• Experience with Signal Integrity and Power Integrity considerations in high-speed designs
• Fluent English, both written and spoken – must.
