Multidisciplinary Systems Integrator
Phinergy, an innovative green-energy technology company developing advanced aluminum-air battery systems, is looking for a hands-on Multidisciplinary Systems Integrator to join its Integration and Development team.
The role involves assembling, integrating, commissioning, and testing complex systems that combine mechanical components, electronics, fluid-flow systems, sensors, and control software. This is a practical and dynamic position that requires strong troubleshooting capabilities and close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering and R&D teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform system-level integration of mechanical assemblies, electronic components, electrical wiring, piping, fluid-flow components, and control software.
- Assemble and commission systems, from individual components to fully operational energy systems.
- Perform mechanical and electromechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and piping installation.
- Work with pumps, valves, flow meters, sensors, and other fluid-handling components.
- Conduct system start-up, calibration, and testing, including sensor calibration, leak testing, and initial laboratory or field tests.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues involving interfaces between hardware, mechanics, fluid systems, and control software.
- Document technical issues, findings, test results, and integration processes.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and R&D teams to improve product reliability, system performance, and assembly and integration processes.
- Provide structured technical feedback and communicate engineering issues identified during assembly, commissioning, and testing.
Requirements
- At least two years of hands-on experience as a Systems Integrator working with multidisciplinary systems in a product development company.
- Practical experience assembling and integrating mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic systems.
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, piping, and fluid-flow components.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Experience in system commissioning, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic development environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with mechanical, electronics, software, and control engineers.
- Ability to document technical processes and communicate findings clearly and professionally.
Significant Advantages
- Experience in the energy, cleantech, medical device, digital printing, or complex industrial systems industries.
- Experience with systems involving precision mechanics, hydraulics, or fluid flow.
- Experience working in an R&D, laboratory, or field environment.
- Practical Engineering diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or another relevant technical discipline.
