Fortitude Law is a U.S. law firm dedicated to asset recovery for victims of sophisticated financial fraud.

Our litigation model, supported by a dedicated cyber-forensic and intelligence team, has built an active caseload across a growing set of international jurisdictions, with recovery work moving through bank recalls, cryptocurrency exchanges, and government forfeiture channels.

That growth is why this role exists: our delivery operation has grown past the point where partners can run it hands-on. It needs a dedicated director.

What you will own

▪   The firm’s entire active recovery caseload, run as an operation: intake triage, case-plan approval, and capacity allocation across our investigation, filings, and recovery teams.

▪   The weekly case review and the service-level clock on every live matter. Your mandate: no client left waiting, no case left to stall unmanaged.

▪   The firm’s outcome intelligence: which recovery channels return funds, at what rates, in which jurisdictions the data that sharpens every next case.

▪   The handoff discipline between tracing, freezing, legal action, and client reporting.

Who does well in this role

▪   Delivery leaders from investigations, asset-recovery, or forensic practices (Manager / VP tier).

▪   Insurance special-investigation-unit managers who have run high-volume fraud caseloads.

▪   Operations leaders from high-stakes, deadline-driven professional services.

Requirements

▪   7+ years running multi-team, deadline-driven casework; direct team leadership.

▪   Based in New York.

▪   Fluency with operational data: SLAs, capacity models, outcome metrics.
