Senior Java Developer

abra professional services is seeking a Senior Java Developer.

We are looking for a skilled Senior Java Developer to join a development team and take part in building complex systems, solving technical challenges, and writing clean, elegant, and maintainable code.

This role requires extensive hands-on Java development experience, strong expertise in microservices, REST APIs, databases, Spring Boot, and proven experience developing with AI tools.

A full-time hybrid position based in Central Israel, with 1 day a week remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex Java-based systems.
• Design and implement microservices-based solutions.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Write clean, high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with development, analysis, QA, project management, and product teams.
  
  

• At least 5 years of proven experience in Java development – mandatory.
• Proven experience working with microservices – mandatory.
• Proven experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases – mandatory.
• At least 5 years of experience working with REST APIs – mandatory.
• Strong expertise in Spring Framework / Spring Boot – mandatory.
• Proven experience developing with AI tools, with an emphasis on Claude Code – mandatory.
• Experience developing in cloud environments – advantage.
• Experience working with EJB – advantage.
• Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging tools – advantage.
• Experience with React development – significant advantage.
• Relevant academic degree – advantage.
