Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) – AI & Business Transformation

The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) is a hands-on AI professional who combines strong technical expertise with consulting and business partnering skills. Embedded within functions such as Operations, Finance, Sales, HR, and Customer Support, the FDE works directly with business leaders to identify high-value opportunities, redesign processes, and deliver practical AI and automation solutions.

This role goes beyond software engineering. We are looking for someone who can act as an internal consultant, trusted advisor, change agent, and hands-on builder—translating business challenges into scalable AI solutions while driving adoption across the enterprise.

Objectives & Responsibilities

1. Business Partnership & Use-Case Identification

• Partner with business leaders to identify high-impact AI, automation, and process improvement opportunities.
• Translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions, prioritizing based on business value and feasibility.
• Act as a trusted AI advisor, simplifying complex concepts and building stakeholder alignment.

2. Hands-On AI Engineering & Solution Design

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI solutions, including copilots, RAG-based systems, intelligent agents, and workflow automation.
• Leverage enterprise AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Snowflake Cortex, Google Gemini) and modern AI development tools and frameworks.
• Accelerate development using AI-native tools (Cursor, Windsurf, Lovable, Base44, Replit, Bolt.new) and frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, DSPy).

3. Workflow Automation & AI Adoption

• Automate repetitive processes via APIs, low-code tools, scripts, and integrations to reduce cycle times and manual effort.
• Prepare and connect enterprise data to enable secure, effective AI solutions.
• Lead AI adoption by coaching teams, promoting best practices, and supporting organizational change to maximize business value.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience

• 3–5+ years delivering enterprise AI, automation, software engineering, or data projects.
• Proven experience working directly with business stakeholders, facilitating discovery workshops, and delivering solutions from concept through production.

Technical & AI Capabilities

• Programming & Tools: Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, JSON
• AI Architecture: Generative AI, RAG pipelines, Agentic workflows, vector databases, prompt engineering, MCP integrations.
• Platforms: Enterprise AI ecosystems (Copilot, Snowflake Cortex, Agentforce) and AI-native IDEs/builders (Cursor, Base44, Replit, Bolt. New).
