Data Center Technician | Northern Israel

Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring a Data Center Technician to join a leading organization in Northern Israel

The role includes planning, deploying, and maintaining passive communication infrastructure, installing IT equipment in Data Center environments, managing DCIM updates, supporting infrastructure incidents, and working closely with infrastructure teams according to SLA requirements

Key Responsibilities

Plan, deploy, and maintain passive communication infrastructure, including fiber optic and copper cabling

Physically install servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and IT equipment in server and communication racks

Perform basic configuration of IT equipment when required

Update and manage the DCIM system according to service requests and infrastructure changes

Support and troubleshoot infrastructure and equipment issues across Data Center sites

Manage and monitor IT equipment and infrastructure inventory

Work with infrastructure teams according to SLA requirements and service requests

Participate in rotating on-call duties outside regular working hours

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience working with Data Center infrastructure and passive communication infrastructure, including fiber optic and copper cabling

Experience with the physical installation of servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and IT equipment in server or communication racks

Basic knowledge of IT equipment configuration

Experience planning and deploying passive communication infrastructure

Ability to work in a troubleshooting environment and provide technical support at Data Center sites

Willingness to work rotating morning, evening, and night shifts, including Fridays

Willingness to participate in rotating on-call duties outside regular working hours
