Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring a Data Engineer to join a leading organization in Southern Israel

The role includes operational ownership of a cloud-based Data Platform running on Google Cloud, ensuring system stability, availability, and performance while managing data pipelines, integrations, governance, and production operations

Key Responsibilities

Take full operational ownership of a cloud-based Data Platform in a production environment

Monitor system stability, availability, and performance

Monitor Data Pipelines and ensure Data Freshness

Maintain high Data Quality standards across the platform

Integrate and onboard new Data Sources

Manage user permissions and Access Control

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors

Ensure compliance with SLA requirements and operational governance processes

Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a Data Engineer

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Understanding of Data Ingestion, ELT, and Data Quality processes

Experience developing with Python

Knowledge of Security principles, IAM, and Data Governance

Experience working with external vendors
