Backend manager

We are looking for a Backend Developers team leader to join our engineering team and help build the backend systems powering our core product.

In this role, you will design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance server-side solutions, taking ownership of critical backend components and services built on .NET (C#) or Java.

As a senior engineer, you will drive best practices in architecture, code quality, testing, and documentation, while mentoring team members and collaborating closely with Product, DevOps, Security, and QA teams.

You will also play a key role in shaping technical decisions and influencing the future direction of our platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performancebackend systems that are critical to the core product
• Take full ownership of complex infrastructure components, fromconcept to production, ensuring reliability, observability, and main tainability
• Deep dive into new technologies and system areas, evaluating andintegrating them as needed to solve infrastructure and product challenges
• Drive engineering excellence by setting high standards for codequality, testing, documentation, and design reviews
• Act as a senior developer within the team: mentoring others,contributing to architectural discussions, and supporting the team’stechnical growth
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, Security, and QA to align infrastructure and backend work with business needs
• Investigate and resolve production issues, customer escalations, andperformance bottlenecks with a proactive, root-cause-orientedapproach
• Help shape the team’s technical roadmap and long-term directionthrough strategic input and hands-on contribution

Requiremnets:

• BSc. in computer science (or equivalent).
• 8+ years of hands-on development experience in .NET(C#) or Java, focusing on enterprise backend/server-side systems
• Hands-on mentality with a can-do, innovative approach.
• Broad knowledge of system architecture patterns and best practices
• Independent research capabilities of new technologies
• Great design and architecture capabilities accompanied by passion for clean code and solid architectures.
• Customer-facing and business-oriented approach.
• Great soft skills, desire for mentoring and training people, and excellent inbound and outbound communication skills. - for Eng Manager
• Strong capabilities in performance tuning and troubleshooting of large-scale systems - For seniors
• Excellent communication capabilities in English

Bonus points:

• Experience with virtualization technologies
• Experience working with public cloud services and APIs (AWS, Azure, Google).
• Familiarity with storage, security, and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operation system
