Full time Firefighter Paramedic/ AEMT

The Knoxville Fire Department is seeking committed, hard-working, team-oriented individuals to perform fire suppression, rescue operations, fire prevention activities (e.g. public education, fire inspections, etc.) and patient care in emergent and non-emergent settings within a combination department providing EMS transport services. Performs routine vehicle, tool and facility maintenance on a daily basis.

The position requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of related work experience in clinical/medical and fire experience and successful completion of department orientation. Iowa Firefighter I required, Firefighter II preferred, Iowa Paramedic/Nationally Registered Paramedic Preferred and a valid drivers license. Certifications are required at time of hire. Ability to meet all the physical standards as set forth by the Fire Department physician or designee and the ability to perform physical functions of the job while wearing personal protective equipment.
