Cost Manager: (Electrical Focus)

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Support the commercial management of construction projects, ensuring cost control and value for money throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in the assessment and resolution of change orders, variations, contractual matters, and commercial issues.
• Support the preparation, negotiation, and agreement of final accounts, including the assessment of contractor claims.
• Prepare estimates, cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts at various stages of project development.
• Produce accurate cost reports, valuations, and commercial analyses to support project decision-making.
• Assist with tender and procurement activities, including preparing bid documentation, evaluating contractor submissions, and preparing commercial recommendations.
• Monitor project expenditure, identify cost variances, and report commercial risks and opportunities to the project team.
• Maintain accurate cost records and ensure all commercial documentation is completed in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Ensure all work is delivered in accordance with project procedures, contractual requirements, and company quality standards.

• Have experience in pre- and post-contract cost management on varied projects
• Ideally have data centres experience
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a cost management or construction discipline
• Love a dynamic environment with the opportunity to manage your own priorities and deadlines
• Are happy to travel for short periods to meet with your clients, partners and team
