Energy Storage Manager

The Energy Storage Division Manager will be responsible for leading the company’s energy storage operations, spanning the entire lifecycle from strategy and business development to project initiation, advancement, management, and delivery. The role entails business, marketing, engineering, project management, legal, and financial responsibilities, involving the management of internal and external interfaces and driving the division's growth as a profit center within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

•Formulating and leading the company’s energy storage strategy, including identifying growth drivers, market trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities.

•Business development and marketing within the sector, including client acquisition, partnership formation, value proposition development, commercial proposal preparation, and leading sales initiatives.

•Leading energy storage projects throughout the full lifecycle: scoping, feasibility, planning, project advancement, contracting, execution, handover, and performance monitoring.

•Managing and coordinating interfaces with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, planning, procurement, finance, legal, and operations, as well as contractors, consultants, suppliers, and clients.

•Evaluation and assessment of storage technologies, BESS solutions, grid integration, energy management systems, and relevant commercial solutions.

•Technical-economic feasibility analysis of projects, including business model development, viability assessment, pricing, risk analysis, cash flow modeling, and sensitivity analysis.

•Leading commercial and contractual negotiations with customers, partners, suppliers, and contractors, including proposal management, agreement handling, and deal closure support.

•Responsibility for the division’s budget and P&L management, including targets for revenue, profitability, order backlog, forecasting, and performance metrics.

•Monitoring and maintaining familiarity with regulations, energy market requirements, revenue structures, contractual frameworks, and legal risks relevant to the sector.

•Representing the company before customers, institutional entities, developers, partners, and energy market stakeholders.

Requirements:

•Proven experience in the energy storage sector and energy market, including familiarity with BESS projects, electrical systems, grid integration, and commercial models.

•Significant experience in management, team leadership, or leading a business/engineering operational area.

•Experience in business development, marketing, client management, and leading complex sales processes.

•Broad project-related understanding and experience managing complex, multi-interface projects.

•Multidisciplinary engineering understanding, with an emphasis on electrical systems, control systems, energy, and infrastructure.

•Legal and commercial understanding regarding contract management, agreements, risk allocation, and tender/proposal documentation.

•Strong financial acumen, including feasibility analysis, budget preparation, pricing, forecasting, and profitability management.

•Proven ability in negotiation, closing deals, and managing high-level interfaces.

•Experience in P&L management or business responsibility for a specific area, unit, or portfolio of activities.

•Academic degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a relevant field.

Position Details

• Location: Bnei Brak, on the border of Ramat Gan, a 7-minute walk from the Ben Gurion light rail station.
• Scope: Full-time position, with the option to work from home one day a week.
