⁠Quantitative Analyst & AI Lead (or Quant Developer / Algo & Systems Lead)

Tech-savvy quant/programmer with trading experience & intuition. Owns algorithmic models, data/AI infrastructure, and internal quant capabilities. Reports to founder. Many hats expected in a small team, huge opportunity to innovate and take ownership in upside.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, backtest, and maintain algorithmic or systematic components/overlays to the core strategy.
• Build data pipelines, screening tools, risk models, and research infrastructure.
• Apply AI/ML techniques (e.g., NLP for news/sentiment, predictive models, portfolio optimization).
• Develop or improve internal tools for idea generation, monitoring, or execution support.
• Explore and integrate new quant/AI methods; stay ahead of relevant technology.
• Bring practical trading/systems mindset to ensure tools are robust and usable.

⁠Requirements:

• Strong programming skills (Python essential; SQL, others a plus; C++ or low-latency experience valuable if HFT-leaning)
• Solid foundation in statistics, econometrics, machine learning, and quantitative finance.
• Experience building or working with trading systems, backtesting frameworks, or quant models (prior role in a quant fund, prop shop, HFT/algo trading firm, or similar ideal).
• Hands-on AI/ML project experience with real-world application.
• Analytical rigor combined with practical implementation/trading intuition.
• Finance domain knowledge (or rapid learner); comfort with ambiguity in a startup environment.

⁠Nice-to-haves:

• Background from Unit 8200 or elite tech units
• experience at a quant fund / algorithmic trading firm
• familiarity with frameworks like QuantConnect or custom back-testers

Success looks like: Reliable, well-tested models and tools that meaningfully enhance the investment process; innovative yet practical AI applications; seamless collaboration with the fundamental analyst and portfolio manager.

Compensation & other notes: Competitive Israel market rates (base + performance bonus tied to fund results). Will consider carried interest or fund economics participation for appropriate candidates & over time. Strong English non-negotiable.
