Data Engineer

A high-growth FinTech company developing an automated B2B foreign exchange (FX) hedging platform.

The system connects directly to major US banking institutions to secure real-time optimal rates and provide automated transaction insurance, protecting enterprise clients against currency market volatility.

The company employs dozens of team members and continues to expand its core technological operations.

Located in central Tel Aviv (right by the train station), operating on a hybrid work model.

Role Description-

• Joining a squad of 3 Data Analysts under the Team Lead as the sole Data Engineer in the company, taking complete ownership over data architecture and engineering.
• Modernizing existing data pipelines and building scalable, enterprise-grade data infrastructure from scratch.
• Designing and executing robust ETL/ELT processes with a strong focus on business logic, data transformation, performance, and production reliability.
• Hands-on development using Python in AWS environments, utilizing Kubernetes, Kafka, and data pipeline orchestration tools.

Requirements-

• 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer – Mandatory
• Strong proficiency and production coding experience in Python – Mandatory
• Extensive hands-on experience building complex ETL/ELT processes – Mandatory
• Deep understanding and expertise in SQL database design and queries – Mandatory
• Hands-on experience with Cloud environments (AWS), Kubernetes, or Kafka – Advantage
