Backend Engineer

An early-stage, stealth DefenseTech startup developing proprietary, patented technologies for underwater defense applications. The company uniquely bridges deep operational expertise from elite defense entities with cutting-edge software engineering from the high-tech sector.

Backed by a substantial Seed funding round from a leading US venture capital fund, the company currently employs under 30 elite engineers and researchers, providing a rare opportunity to join as an early core team member.

Located in Center District, (right by the train station), operating on a hybrid work model.

Role Description-

• Joining as an early-stage Software Engineer in the core R&D squad, building greenfield DefenseTech platforms and system software from scratch.
• Taking broad technical ownership over system architecture, performance optimization, and core software functionality.
• Hands-on development primarily in C++ (~85%) alongside Python automation and integration (~15%) in Linux environments.
• Working on complex algorithms and low-level software layers in Linux CPU / Userspace environments.

Requirements-

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience in C++ – Mandatory
• Proven experience developing on Linux systems OR Embedded development in Userspace – Mandatory
• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technological field – Mandatory
• Hands-on experience or scripting proficiency in Python – Advantage
• Background from military technological units or defense industries – Advantage
