🚀 Mechanical Design Engineer – Manufacturing Tooling & Fixtures

A leading defense company in Be’er Ya’akov is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Manufacturing Engineering team and take part in the design and development of advanced production tooling and fixtures.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment, supporting complex products from the design stage through manufacturing and integration.

What will you do?

• Design manufacturing tools, fixtures, molds, lifting and handling equipment, measurement tools, and assembly aids

• Develop tooling solutions for machining, composite materials, integration, assembly, and other manufacturing processes

• Prepare manufacturing process documentation for mechanical parts and mechanisms

• Develop and implement engineering changes and improvements to existing tools

• Define and write technical specifications for the design and production of tooling by subcontractors

• Work closely with subcontractors throughout the design and manufacturing process

• Provide ongoing engineering support to manufacturing engineers and production teams

• Investigate and resolve manufacturing, tooling, and process-related issues

• Review and interpret complex mechanical drawings and technical documentation

What are we looking for?

✅ Bsc in Mechanical Engineering – mandatory

✅ At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design – mandatory

✅ Hands-on experience with SolidWorks – mandatory

✅ Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing documentation

✅ Good English communication skills

✅ Ability to manage multiple engineering tasks in a dynamic environment

Advantages:

• Experience in the design of manufacturing tools, jigs, and fixtures

• Experience with NX

• Knowledge of industrial coatings and surface treatment processes

• Experience working with machining, composites, assembly, or multidisciplinary production environments
