Information Technology Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT and Information Security leader to take overall responsibility for the company’s corporate technology environment, security program, and compliance framework.

This is a broad ownership role within a growing startup, combining strategic planning, operational leadership, governance, and oversight of external partners. The position will define priorities, build scalable processes, and ensure that the company’s systems, infrastructure, and security controls support both current business needs and future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s IT and information security domains, including strategy, planning, governance, and ongoing operations.
• Develop and execute the IT and security roadmap in alignment with business objectives and organizational growth.
• Oversee the corporate SaaS environment, identity and access management, endpoint management, internal infrastructure, and security controls.
• Establish scalable processes for employee onboarding, offboarding, permissions, equipment, licenses, and lifecycle management.
• Own the Microsoft corporate environment, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, Defender, authentication, and access policies.
• Define and maintain standards for macOS and Windows endpoint management.
• Ensure the reliability and security of corporate connectivity, remote access, VPN, Wi-Fi, and related network services.
• Partner with DevOps and engineering stakeholders on cloud connectivity, AWS networking, access architecture, and infrastructure security.
• Lead the company’s SOC 2 and ISO 27001 programs, including control governance, audit coordination, policy management, risk tracking, vendor assessments, and periodic access reviews.
• Manage IT and security vendors, service providers, procurement, licensing, renewals, budgets, and cost optimization.
• Define and monitor service levels, operational metrics, security priorities, and remediation plans.
• Lead the response to IT and security incidents, coordinating internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Maintain clear policies, standards, procedures, and management-level reporting across IT and information security.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, IT operations, information security, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading an IT function with broad end-to-end responsibility.
• Experience setting priorities, building roadmaps, managing vendors, and establishing scalable IT and security processes.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange Online, Conditional Access, MFA, and endpoint security.
• Experience managing mixed macOS and Windows environments; familiarity with Kandji is preferred.
• Experience with identity management and SSO integrations across SaaS and cloud environments, using Auth0 or comparable platforms.
• Strong understanding of corporate networking, secure connectivity, VPN, routing, DNS, DHCP, and access management.
• Good understanding of AWS networking and cloud access architecture, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and VPN connectivity.
• Demonstrated experience leading or maintaining SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance programs.
• Solid knowledge of security governance, endpoint protection, risk management, third-party security, and secure IT operations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with management, employees, technical teams, auditors, and external vendors.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong cybersecurity background, including security architecture, incident management, threat detection, vulnerability management, hardening, cloud security, and identity protection.
• Relevant professional certifications such as Microsoft, AWS, CCNA, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ISO 27001.
• Experience introducing automation and process improvements across IT and security operations.
• Previous experience in a startup or fast-growing technology company.
