Application Engineer – Networking Solutions (Product Team)

A company developing power supplies and communication systems is looking for an Application Engineer – Networking Solutions to join its Product Team.

Position Description

We are looking for an Application Engineer to join the Product Team, focusing on advanced networking solutions for the aerospace, defense, and ruggedized systems industries.

This role is intended for engineers who are interested in developing as customer-facing technical experts. It combines technical work, customer interaction, and exposure to real-world system applications.

The position involves working with global customers and requires flexibility and collaboration across different time zones.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of technical proposals (RFIs / RFPs / RFQs) and compliance matrices.
• Write and maintain product datasheets and technical documentation.
• Work closely with Sales and R&D teams to define customer solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions with customers to understand their requirements.
• Provide technical support during the pre-sales phase.
• Work with Sales, Project Management, and Configuration Management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support global customers, including occasional work outside standard business hours.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (Ethernet, Switching, IP fundamentals).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly.
• High motivation to develop in a customer-facing technical role.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and as part of a team.

Advantages

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Application Engineer, Technical Support, Pre-Sales, or Post-Sales).
• Background in Networking, Embedded Systems, or Communication Systems (through industry experience, internships, or academic projects).
• Experience writing technical documentation (proposals, product datasheets, system descriptions).
• Familiarity with defense and aerospace standards.
• Hands-on experience with system integration, laboratory work, or troubleshooting.
