Forward Deployed Engineer – AI Agents

SAI Agents is building AI-native software that transforms professional services through autonomous AI agents. We partner directly with customers to automate complex workflows, augment human expertise, and deploy AI systems that deliver measurable business impact.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll bridge the gap between product, engineering, and customers. You'll work closely with customers to understand their business challenges, design AI-powered solutions, build production-ready systems, and deploy them into real-world environments.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning problems end-to-end—from discovery and prototyping to deployment and continuous improvement.

• Partner directly with customers to understand their workflows and identify automation opportunities.
• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents and applications.
• Develop integrations with enterprise systems, APIs, and third-party platforms.
• Rapidly prototype new solutions and iterate based on customer feedback.
• Optimize AI workflows for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve deployed solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to shape both the product and technical architecture.

• 3+ years of software engineering experience building production systems.
• Experience building and deploying AI applications using modern LLM frameworks and agent architectures.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, databases, and modern software engineering practices.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Highly independent, proactive, and able to operate with minimal supervision.
• Fast learner who enjoys solving new and challenging problems.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Previous startup experience.
• Experience deploying AI systems into enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with accounting, finance, legal, or other professional services workflows.
• Experience with retrieval systems (RAG), vector databases, MCP, orchestration frameworks, or agentic AI platforms.
