Embedded Firmware Engineer team leader

About the Company

The position combines team leadership, project management, design, development, testing, verification and maintenance of hardware for user interfaces, digital signal processing and displays – for existing and future generation products of the company.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Leading a team of Embedded hardware development engineers - approximately 10 employees.
• Design and development of high-quality hardware for advanced microcontrollers, including multi-core systems.
• Multidisciplinary development including: user interfaces, communication protocols, control loops (feedback loops) and digital signal analysis.
• Working with advanced laboratory equipment, such as: oscilloscope, signal generator, protocol analyzer, logic analyzer and more.
• Dynamic, diverse and challenging environment with a fast pace of work.
• Close collaboration with other team members, including hardware engineers, project leaders and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Software/Computer Science Engineering - Required.

Required Skills

• At least 10 years of experience in Embedded software development - Required.
• At least 3 years of experience in leading a hardware development team - Required.
• Full command of English at a high level - reading, writing and speaking - Required.
• Analytical thinking ability and high technical understanding - Required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in hardware programming for multi-core ARM processors.
• Familiarity with industrial and commercial communication protocols, including: RS232/485, USB, LAN, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus and more.
• Experience in designing and implementing digital control loops.
