DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Linnovate is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team and work on-site at one of our leading defense industry customers in Or Yehuda. You will take ownership of a modern microservices production environment running on Microsoft Azure, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security in a regulated environment.

You will be embedded as part of a customer-facing engineering team, taking end-to-end responsibility for the cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability of a mission-critical microservices platform. What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain Azure-based cloud infrastructure supporting a growing microservices platform.
• Operate and improve Kubernetes (AKS) clusters in production, including networking, scaling, and security.
• Design and evolve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines and/or GitHub Actions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep, with a strong emphasis on repeatability and code review.
• Set up and maintain observability tools: Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, including custom dashboards, alerts, and SLIs/SLOs.
• Ensure operational security and compliance in a regulated defense environment.
• Collaborate closely with backend developers, security engineers, and customer stakeholders.
  

Requirements (Must-Have)

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer in production environments.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud (AKS, networking, storage, IAM).
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production.
• Experience designing and operating microservices-based production systems.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps Pipelines and/or GitHub Actions.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or Bicep.
• Strong Linux and scripting fundamentals (Bash / Python / PowerShell).
• Willingness and eligibility to hold an active Israeli civilian security clearance — existing valid clearance is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work full-time on-site at the customer's office in Or Yehuda.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with Application Insights, Prometheus, or Grafana for observability.
• Prior work in defense, regulated, or air-gapped environments.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) or GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux).
• Multi-cloud exposure (AWS, GCP) beyond primary Azure work.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects.
