Systems Engineering Team Leader

We are looking for a Systems Engineering Team Leader to join the Misgav Plant within ELTA Systems, leading a challenging Israeli operational project at the core of Israel’s advanced defense systems.

The position includes:

• Managing the engineering aspects of the project while working closely with project management and customers

• Leading a team of 5–6 Systems Engineers and managing multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment

• Managing the complete project lifecycle, including development, integration, deployment, and operational implementation at the customer site

• Collaborating with internal IAI stakeholders as well as Israeli and international customers

• Leading a critical, high-quality, and technologically advanced operational system

• Providing professional leadership and driving system-level engineering activities across multiple disciplines

• Working closely with teams in algorithms, software, signal processing, and additional engineering domains

What we’re looking for:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Aerospace Engineering – Mandatory

• At least 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering of interceptor systems and/or radar systems – Mandatory

• Proven experience in team leadership – Mandatory

• Significant advantage: Experience in developing systems incorporating interception capabilities

• Excellent English communication skills (written, verbal, and reading comprehension) – Mandatory

• Experience working with multidisciplinary systems – Advantage

• Experience with MATLAB and/or Python – Advantage

• Experience in defense or operational systems – Advantage
