We are partnering with a well-funded, highly innovative semiconductor company developing a next-generation hardware accelerator. They are reshaping data analytics processing for modern datacenter environments, tackling some of the most complex memory and data-movement bottlenecks in the industry.
We are looking for an exceptional, senior-level Lead SoC Architect to join a small, elite, and high-caliber architecture team. This is an Individual Contributor role designed for a strong, hands-on architect who thrives on solving complex microarchitectural challenges and wants to take full ownership of a business-critical subsystem within a cutting-edge SoC.
Key Responsibilities
- Define Subsystem Architecture: Establish the architecture and detailed hardware specifications for major SoC subsystems, driving them from high-level definitions down to microarchitecture.
- End-to-End Ownership: Own the architectural definition of a key, business-critical block within the chip, including associated firmware and software components.
- HW/SW Co-Design: Design hardware solutions optimized specifically for high-performance datacenter workloads, scalability, and maximum efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Hardware Design, Firmware, and Software teams to ensure seamless system-level integration.
- Lifecycle Influence: Contribute heavily to key architectural decisions throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Education: B.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Experience: 6+ years of proven experience as an SoC or Chip Architect working on large, high-end ASICs.
- Technical Proven Track Record: Direct experience defining the architecture/microarchitecture of complex SoCs or advanced silicon subsystems.
- System Thinking: Strong, multidisciplinary understanding of complex HW/SW interacting systems.
- Team Fit: Ability to work independently as an ultimate technical authority, while collaborating effectively within a tight-knit, fast-paced team.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Background & Advantages
We are highly interested in candidates coming from companies developing advanced networking, AI acceleration, or datacenter silicon, with specific experience in:
- Accelerators: AI accelerators, high-performance compute, or data processing accelerators.
- Networking & Interconnects: Networking ASICs and high-speed protocols (PCIe Gen5/6, CXL, or similar).
- Memory & Infrastructure: Deep understanding of modern datacenter architectures and high-bandwidth memory subsystems.
- Leadership: A demonstrated track record of technical leadership or academic excellence is a significant advantage.
