Backend Team Lead

By ingestion of distributed environment telemetry, the system distills complex cloud infrastructure vulnerabilities into actionable, unified security insights drastically reducing alert fatigue for global security teams through a single pane of glass.

The office is located in Tel Aviv with excellent transit access, operating under a flexible hybrid work model (including WFH options).

Position Overview-

• Backend Engineering Team Leader (20%–40% Hands-on) stepping into a critical growth role to build, scale, and lead a core engineering squad from scratch (comprising 5–6 developers, combining internal talent and new hires).
• Balancing high-impact, hands-on architecture and code contributions with close personal mentorship, technical road mapping, and agile management practices.
• Owning the design and implementation of highly resilient, distributed Microservices handling massive data ingestion pipelines and real-time security context mapping.
• Driving core infrastructure choices across a modern polyglot stack primarily focused on Java (Spring Boot) with production touches of Go and Python.
• Architecting data layers and processing workflows utilizing complex database technologies, graph networks, and streaming tools (Neo4j, ElasticSearch, Redis, TimescaleDB, RabbitMQ).
• Core Domain & Ecosystem- Cloud Security Operations (SecOps), Distributed Systems Architecture, High-Scale Ingestion Engines, Polyglot Backend (Java / Go / Python), Microservices, Multi-Cloud Infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP), Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), Graph & Time-Series Data Topologies.

Requirements-

• 2 years of formal professional experience as a Software Team Leader managing backend engineering teams within product-driven environments – Mandatory
• 5 years of robust professional experience dedicated to backend software engineering – Mandatory
• Production-grade programming mastery and deep architectural background in Java (Spring Boot), with a strong readiness to operate in a polyglot environment (touching Go / Python as needed) – Mandatory
• Practical, hands-on experience designing and deploying high-scale services across modern Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) – Mandatory
• Extensive background working within containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker) and structured CI/CD delivery automation – Mandatory
• Prior experience dealing with non-trivial data architectures, graph databases, or high-throughput message brokers (e.g., Neo4j, Elastic, RabbitMQ, Redis) – Significant Advantage
• A natural leader with excellent team-building skills, capable of hiring, inspiring, and establishing strong engineering methodologies within a new team – Mandatory
