DevOps Manager

We are looking for a DevOps Team Lead to spearhead our DevOps team.

In this role, you will balance leadership, architecture design, and hands on execution. You will play a pivotal role in managing, upgrading, and monitoring our cloud based infrastructure, collaborating closely with development teams, architects, and product stakeholders to maintain top tier performance, scalability, and security across the entire Yad2 ecosystem, while championing our GitOps methodology.

What you will be doing

• Lead & Mentor: Manage a team of talented DevOps engineers, fostering professional growth, setting methodologies, and prioritizing tasks.
• Infrastructure Management: Own, maintain, upgrade, and monitor our modern production and non production environments based on high traffic cloud infrastructure.
• Collaboration: Act as a bridge between R&D, Architects, and Product teams to align infrastructural capabilities with business needs.
• CI/CD & Automation: Design, implement, and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices to accelerate delivery cycles, ensuring declarative infrastructure management and automated, reproducible deployments.
• Tech Stack Mastery: Work hands on with cutting edge technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Serverless architectures, Microservices, and Terraform.

Your skills and experience

Must-Have

• Experience: At least 4 years of proven hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer in high-scale cloud environments.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Solid, deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) in production.
• OS: Deep understanding and practical experience in managing and maintaining Linux environments.
• Cloud Platforms: Extensive hands on experience with cloud providers AWS
• CI/CD: Proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Leadership: Prior experience as a DevOps Team Lead or significant experience mentoring junior/mid level engineers.
• Monitoring: Hands on experience with monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Databases: Practical experience or basic understanding of MySQL or other relational databases.
• Soft Skills: strong communication skills, natural leadership, ownership, and an eagerness to adopt and introduce new technologies.
