Head of IT Infrastructure

We are looking for a hands on Head of IT Infrastructure to build and lead the technology environment of an international Family Office.

This is a senior, execution oriented role for someone who can design, implement, stabilize and operate IT infrastructure in a highly sensitive environment, while also enabling modern day to day business workflows.

The role includes responsibility for both secure sensitive environments and standard corporate environments, with clear separation between classified or highly confidential data and regular operational systems

Key responsibilities:

1. Build and manage the Family Office IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, workstations, endpoints, data center connectivity, backup, disaster recovery and user support.

2. Design and operate a secure architecture that supports both highly sensitive information and non sensitive corporate operations, with appropriate access controls, segmentation, monitoring and governance.

3. Implement a modern corporate email and calendar environment, including Microsoft Exchange or equivalent functionality, full meeting invitation capability, external scheduling, Zoom meeting integration, and full synchronization with iOS and Android mobile devices.

4. Ensure that users can work effectively from mobile phones, including sending and receiving meeting invitations, accepting or declining meetings, receiving calendar updates, opening Zoom links, and using the default iOS and Android calendar experience where required.

5. Work closely with Cyber Security to ensure endpoint protection, identity management, access controls, encryption, logging, and secure remote access.

6. Lead infrastructure projects, including migrations, vendor management, procurement input, deployment planning and operational rollout.

7. Create clear IT processes for onboarding, offboarding, equipment, permissions, support requests, software access, and incident handling.

8. Support the transition from ad hoc tools, Excel files and manual workflows into a more scalable operating model.

9. Work directly with senior management and translate business requirements into secure and practical technical solutions.

Ideal background:

1. Significant experience as Head of IT, IT Infrastructure Manager, IT Director, Senior Systems Architect or similar.

2. Proven experience building or restructuring IT environments in complex, international, high confidentiality organizations.

3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365 architecture, Active Directory, identity and access management, endpoint management, mobile device integration, VPN, backup and data center operations.

4. Experience with both on premise and hybrid environments.

5. Understanding of how to separate sensitive information environments from standard operational environments.

6. Ability to work hands on while also building processes, structure and a team.

7. Strong operational judgment, crisis management ability and high personal ownership.

8. Experience working with executives, family offices, financial institutions, security sensitive companies, government related environments, or highly confidential corporate structures is an advantage.
