Job Description

A leading defense company is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead complex software projects in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

The role includes translating system requirements into software solutions, defining system architecture and interfaces, leading system integration, acceptance testing, and performance analysis, while working closely with Development teams, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the systems engineering activities for complex software projects.
• Translate system requirements into software specifications.
• Define system architecture and software interfaces.
• Produce technical specifications and engineering documentation.
• Lead system integration, acceptance testing, and system validation.
• Perform performance analysis and define system KPIs.
• Work closely with Development teams, customers, and engineering stakeholders.
• Provide matrix leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or Communications Engineering – required.
• Master's degree – advantage.
• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Software Project Management, or Technical Team Leadership.
• Strong experience in requirements analysis, system architecture, interface design, and technical documentation.
• Experience working with customers and software development teams.
• Experience leading system integration, acceptance testing, and validation activities.
• Experience performing system performance analysis and defining KPIs.
• Hands-on experience with MATLAB and/or Python.
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance – required.
