About the Lab

The Single-Cell Cancer Research Laboratory at Sheba Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team.

Our research focuses on understanding the cancer cells that survive chemotherapy and drive disease relapse. We study high-risk neuroblastoma, one of the most aggressive pediatric cancers, with the goal of developing innovative therapies to prevent relapse and improve patient outcomes.

The laboratory is led by Dr. Liron Grossman, a physician-scientist at the Edmond and Lily Safra Children's Hospital at Sheba Medical Center, Senior Lecturer at Bar-Ilan University, and Visiting Researcher at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), USA.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will play a leading role in designing and conducting experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and presenting research findings.

The position offers close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in Israel, the United States, and Germany, as well as opportunities to contribute to scientific publications and competitive research grant applications in a dynamic and internationally connected research environment.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences, with expertise in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, and Immunology – Required
• Hands-on experience with in vivo mouse models, including oral (PO), intraperitoneal (IP), and tail vein injections – Required
• Extensive experience in mammalian cell culture – Required
• Experience with RNA- and protein-based molecular biology techniques – Required
• Proficiency in Flow Cytometry – Required
• Experience with gene delivery and transfection techniques, including viral transduction and CRISPR-based gene editing – Required
• Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
