Reconciliation Product Manager

A Hi-Tech global company is looking for Reconciliation Product Manager to join the Product group responsible for all of Finance Services and related products. In this role you will own the product domains that keep the company global payments business safe, compliant, and financially accurate — with a primary focus on regulatory compliance processes (KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions screening and ongoing monitoring) and an important secondary focus on reconciliation processes across our payment, payout, and settlement flows.

You will lead key onboarding initiatives end to end, translate evolving regulatory requirements into clear product solutions, and partner with Compliance, Finance, Risk, Operations, R&D, and external vendors to deliver them. You will also explore new frontiers in compliance and reconciliation tooling as the company continues to scale across markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the product strategy, roadmap, and vision for the compliance and reconciliation domains. Manage and prioritize backlogs (short term) and define the long-term direction (KYC/KYB onboarding, AML monitoring, screening, and reconciliation). Routines: opening and categorizing Jira items, prioritizing capacity and product backlogs.

• Functionally analyze and design compliance and reconciliation processes and products. Translate regulatory and risk requirements (KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions/PEP screening, transaction monitoring, regulatory reporting) into product features, and design robust reconciliation flows across payments, payouts, and settlements. Gather constant input from Compliance, Risk, Finance, the field, R&D, customers, and the industry. Define success KPIs and how to measure them. Routines: design documents and PRDs, design-review (DR) meetings.

• Execute and deliver shoulder to shoulder with R&D and QA as a key pivot in the Agile/Scrum process. Take ownership of coordinating all relevant stakeholders — including Compliance, Risk, and third-party data and screening vendors — to deliver within the defined schedule and scope. Routines: gate meetings, test-gate meetings, assembling a project task force (engine, web, mobile, embedded, QA, etc.), and running routine syncs. Maintain constant communication and expectation alignment with stakeholders and customers.

• Support business units and customers in piloting and deploying new compliance and reconciliation capabilities in the field. Routines: prepare and help configure production environments (e.g., onboarding rules, screening thresholds, reconciliation matching logic) and analyze issues and bugs that arise during rollout.

• Serve as a key focal point in the knowledge-transfer process for every completed project, helping the Compliance, Finance, and Operations teams become independent in their day-to-day operations. Routines: prepare configuration and operating guides; run knowledge-transfer sessions with the Compliance, Finance, and related business teams.

• Use data to measure the success of a project or product and to analyze the key factors driving or preventing it — for example onboarding cycle time, screening false-positive and hit rates, alert volumes, and reconciliation match and exception rates. Routines: database, BI, and Kibana queries across environments; effort assessments; retrospective and lessons-learned meetings.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of overall relevant experience, including as a Product Manager / Solution Architect / leading technical role, and accumulated across other relevant product, business, or technical positions, with a strong focus on compliance, RegTech, risk, or payments products.
• Related industry experience in domains such as — payments, fintech, and similar regulated financial-technology environments.
• Strong solution and process orientation — able to map, build, and present end-to-end business and system processes, and to break them down into clear, actionable work items (epics, user stories, and tasks) for delivery.
• Solid working knowledge of regulatory compliance processes — KYC/KYB customer and business onboarding, AML, sanctions/PEP screening, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting — and the systems that support them.
• Experience delivering compliance, onboarding, or risk projects and working with the relevant systems and data vendors.
• Understanding of reconciliation processes (payment, payout, and settlement reconciliation, matching, and exception handling) — important, though secondary to the compliance focus.
• Relevant academic background: B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience writing technical design documents, especially for APIs and integrations (including ERD, sequence diagrams, flow charts, class diagrams, component diagrams, etc.).
• Experience utilizing and defining APIs, with an understanding of REST and Swagger/YAML.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience with compliance and AML systems — KYC/KYB onboarding platforms, screening and transaction-monitoring tools, and case-management systems — a big advantage.
• Experience with reconciliation, settlement, or financial-control systems.
• Experience in billing, payout, or payment systems.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and standards across multiple markets.
• Technical background — development and/or architecture.
